If It Was Fubara's Supporter That Had That Dynamite, You'd Have Seen Press Conferences —Ikenga Imo

Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, a member of the House of Representatives for Ideato North Federal Constituency in Imo State, has voiced his concerns regarding an incident in Rivers State where a dynamite was detonated during a protest.

In a video posted by TVC News on their YouTube channel, he implied that if the individual responsible had been affiliated with Governor Siminalayi Fubara, the response from law enforcement would have been much more pronounced.

Ugochinyere highlighted that the Rivers State Commissioner of Police or even the Inspector General of Police (IGP) would have likely held press conferences to address the situation if the person with the dynamite were a supporter of Governor Fubara.

He criticised the perceived double standard in the response to such incidents, suggesting that political affiliations can influence the level of attention and action from authorities.

The lawmaker emphasised the need for a thorough investigation to identify the person behind the dynamite and uncover their true motives.

Ugochinyere urged the authorities not to dismiss the incident but to take decisive action to ensure accountability and prevent future occurrences.

He called for a transparent inquiry to reveal who orchestrated the act and to understand the intentions behind it.

Ugochinyere said, "If it was a supporter of Fubara that had that dynamite, you would have seen press conferences by the commissioner of police there or by the IGP.

"Why have they not told us who sent that man with the dynamite and what was his real intention? Or is it because it is about Fubara nobody wants to do that?"
