According to the report from Reuters, the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence announced in a statement that its forces have detained one of the ringleaders and main plotters behind the deadly terrorist bombings in the southeastern city of Kerman.

The ministry's statement, released on Saturday, highlighted its achievements in maintaining the country's security.

According to the statement, one of the most significant recent accomplishments was apprehending and transferring one of the key terrorist figures, identified as 'Abdullah Quetta,' who led a terrorist team responsible for the bombings in Kerman. The ministry noted that Abdullah Quetta was successfully guided into the country, allowing Iranian forces to detain him.

"The information obtained from this terrorist has played a crucial role in uncovering numerous Takfiri conspiracies, identifying other key elements, and locating their hideouts in the region," the statement added. The intelligence gathered from Abdullah Quetta continues to be valuable in ongoing security operations.

Kerman Province prosecutor general Mehdi Bakhshi had previously reported on June 19 that 48 Iranian and foreign nationals had been detained following the deadly January attack, with 11 of them still in custody.

Earlier this year, Kerman was rocked by two bombings that resulted in the martyrdom of 96 people. The ISIL terrorist group claimed responsibility for the explosions.

The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence's successful capture of Abdullah Quetta marks a significant step in combating terrorism and ensuring the safety and security of the nation. The ministry's ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and thwart their plans demonstrate a strong commitment to protecting Iran and its citizens from such threats.
