In a frank interview on News Central TV, Chiedozie Alex Ogbonnia, the National Publicity Secretary of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, proposed a political arrangement where the Federal Government recognizes Nnamdi Kanu's role in voicing the concerns and grievances of Igbo youths in southeastern Nigeria. He called on the government to tackle the region's challenges and strive to resolve perceived injustices.
He underscored the importance of fairness in Nigeria, highlighting the substantial contributions of the Igbo people as pioneers. He emphasized the significance of acknowledging the ongoing contributions of the Igbo people to the country's development, as well as ensuring that political measures foster fairness and justice for every citizen.
He said, "The political agreement we are looking at is where the Federal Government will understand that Nnamdi Kanu represents what is happening in the Southeast of Nigeria. He represents the agitation of the Igbo Youths of the Southeast. He represents how people are grieved by what is happening in Nigeria. When we are talking about political solutions, it is how to bring and end to this injustice. The political solutions we are talking about is there must be equity in Nigeria. Nigerians must remember that Igbos are the founding fathers of this country. And ever since then, we have been helping to develop this country."
