The Governor of Benue State and prominent member of the All Progressives Congress, Hyacinth Alia, made a significant donation of 50 bags of rice and 8 cows following an unplanned visit to Federal Government Girls' College, Gboko. During this visit, he was warmly received by the school's management and students.

Governor Hyacinth Alia shared his experience on his verified Facebook page on Saturday, stating, "Earlier today, I paid an unscheduled visit to Federal Government Girls' College, Gboko, where I was greeted with a warm and heartfelt welcome by the management and students of the school." 

In his post, he explained that the donation aimed to enhance the nutrition and well-being of the students, whom he referred to as future leaders.

He said, "To support the nourishment and well-being of these future leaders, I donated 50 bags of rice and 8 cows. This gesture is to ensure that our daughters receive the feeding they deserve, enabling them to focus entirely on their studies and excel in their educational pursuits."

Governor Alia also emphasized his dedication to promoting girl child education. He encouraged the students to strive for excellence and make their parents proud, highlighting the importance of laying a strong foundation for their future success.

He added, "As a passionate advocate for girl child education, I encourage all the students to strive for excellence, make their parents proud, and lay the foundation for their future success."
