In a recent announcement, the Team Asue Media Organization (TAMO) clarified reports concerning the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) primary election held on February 22, 2024, at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, as reported by Vanguard.

Contrary to earlier claims, TAMO affirmed that the election had not been annulled or canceled, referencing the Certified True Copy (CTC) of the ruling by Honourable Justice Inyang Ekwo in suit no: FHC/ABJ/CS/165/2024.

TAMO criticized Adaze Emwanta, counsel to the plaintiffs, accusing him of misleading the public with erroneous information. They expressed concern over the proliferation of misinformation and called upon all political entities to uphold accuracy and refrain from contributing to such misleading narratives.

Furthermore, TAMO accused opposition parties of attempting to create distractions for Dr. Asue Ighodalo, the PDP candidate, during this crucial period. Emphasizing the importance of factual reporting and responsible communication, TAMO urged for a fair and transparent political process.

According to TAMO, "the judge did not at any point in the ruling make mention of disqualifying Ighodalo or nullifying the February 22 primary election of the PDP," as stated in the Certified True Copy (CTC) of Justice Inyang Ekwo's ruling in suit no: FHC/ABJ/CS/165/2024.

They criticized Adaze Emwanta for leaving the courtroom prematurely to address the press, falsely claiming that the court had disqualified Ighodalo and annulled the primary election. TAMO described this action as reckless and condemned it as unprofessional conduct.

"With the CTC now public, the falsehoods and propaganda of opposition parties have been debunked," TAMO declared, affirming their commitment to factual accuracy in reporting. They stressed the need for integrity in political discourse to ensure a truthful and credible electoral process.
