What Police Officers Have Allegedly Done With Coffins Confiscated During Yesterday's Protests

opera.com 4 days ago

Whenever the police confiscate anything, they are often expected to retain it as evidence and only release it once a court order has been given or when a case has been concluded by the court. However, this is not always the case as some officers have been accused of allegedly using items in their possession.

In recent information shared by Cyprian Nyakundi, it seems as if Kenyans might consider questioning how police officers handle items that they have confiscated. This is after a concern was raised on why coffins confiscated by police yesterday were seen being repaired in Juja.

Although it is not clear whether the police sold off the coffins or they were retrieved by the owner, there have been numerous questions regarding the significance and origin of the coffins. This is because no one has come out to acknowledge who sponsored the delivery of the coffins during the protests. The police have not also revealed where they took the coffins after confiscating them during the protests.
