According to reports from DAILY POST, the 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has asserted that the challenges facing Nigeria are surmountable with the right commitment, attitude, and leadership.

Emir Sanusi shared his optimistic outlook during a courtesy visit by the Kano State Commissioner for Information, Baba Halilu Dantiye, and the Commissioner of Science, Technology and Innovation, Mohammed Tajuddeen Othman, at his palace.

"I'm confident that the people of Kano, with our history, our resilience, and attitude can overcome the challenges and become things of the past," the revered monarch stated.

Drawing from his extensive experience and deep understanding of the country's dynamics, Emir Sanusi acknowledged that the current challenges faced by Nigeria were inherited.

However, he stressed that the solution lies not in mere lamentation, but in proactive and decisive action.

"If we just keep looking at the problems (poverty, hunger, malnutrition, out-of-school children, illiteracy) and we think there is nothing we can do, but the reality is, with the right attitude, commitment, leadership, and support of all, these are not insurmountable problems," the Emir said.

Emir Sanusi emphasized that nations have overcome greater adversities and emerged stronger, citing the example of parts of the country that were once ravaged by terrorism, which have now been guided by Allah to a path of recovery and progress.

"Nations have gone through worse, and they have come out of it. Even in this country, look at parts of the country ravaged by terrorism, which Allah has guided us to, and we hope Allah spares this and also spares those parts of the country and releases them," the Emir stated.

Highlighting the Kano State government's bold steps in addressing the nation's challenges, particularly in the realm of education, Emir Sanusi commended the administration's focus on girl-child education, which he believes is a crucial solution to the country's myriad problems.
