The PDP gubernatorial candidate for Edo State, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, continued his outreach to the Edo community living abroad, holding a meeting in Hamburg, Germany on Friday night. At this event, Ighodalo reiterated his and running mate Barr. Osarodion Ogie's commitment to transforming Edo into a leading sub-national entity in Nigeria. He plans to build upon the reforms of the previous administration and meticulously implement his "Pathway to Prosperity for All" manifesto to achieve this goal.

Speaking on Friday night in Hamburg, Dr Asue Ighodalo said, "We must know who we are in Edo State. Our state has produced some very famous individuals in the past who etched their names in national history. The last eight years have witnessed some good developments. We must build on them. We can’t go back to the past. If it happens it will be a shame to each and everyone of us in this hall. I am not a spokesperson for the administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki, but I can tell you that the administration has moved Edo State from where it used to be. We can only move forward and not seek to go back. Edo State has changed. It is time to solidify the reforms that the Obaseki administration has achieved."

According to Vanguard News, Ighodalo assured the audience that his top priorities will be ensuring security, law and order in the state. He promised to work diligently to address the five key pillars outlined in his policy agenda. Regarding the issue of stolen Edo cultural artifacts, Ighodalo declared that they rightfully belong in the palace and pledged to resolve this matter.

Significantly, Ighodalo's wife, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ighodalo, stated that she would hold her husband accountable for fulfilling the commitments he has made, particularly those focused on uplifting women, youth, children and vulnerable populations in Edo State.
