Being the third week of demonstrations, a lot has happened in our country, the protests has caused escalated tension among Kenyans. Demonstrations come with a lot of disadvantages than advantages as it causes chaotic scenes with some protesters being shot dead , others left injured badly. Now yesterday's protests were like a surprise to many Kenyans since the main problem which was the finance bill was withdrawn raising questions on the reason some Kenyans still went out on the streets to protest.
Various political Analysts have shared their opinions on Yesterday's demos with the majority standing on the fact that, peaceful protests ended on last week Tuesday and the ones demonstrating this week are not gen z but suspected goons with ill intentions against Kenyans.
Wahome Thuku also supported the notion that those demonstrators are not gen z but goons aiming to disrupt the normalcy of the nation. He took it to his Facebook page posting that no mother will want her children to go and protest since they have witnessed the ugly side of demonstrations, they'll force their children to stay at home which is a win for the president who does not support the demos.
"As the country goes to sleep tonight, no one wants to hear about demos anymore. Mothers will force their Gen Zs to stay at home. A win win for William" he wrote
He also condemned the brutal actions of the police, shooting peaceful protesters to death.We hope for calmness to return in our country so as people will continue with their businesses as usual and parents will send their children to school without fear. Here are some of the comments from netizens.
