In a recent report by The SUN, Alhaji Buba Galadima, the Secretary of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), engaged in an interview on Channels Television, addressing various pertinent issues including the internal strife within the party, the purported suspension of its 2023 presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and an assessment of Muhammadu Buhari's presidency.

When queried about the factional claim of Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso's suspension from the party, Galadima responded with a pointed rebuttal, underscoring the principles of democracy and due process. He challenged the legitimacy of any purported suspension, highlighting the absence of a convention to elect national party officers. In his view, any attempt to suspend Kwankwaso without proper procedural adherence constitutes an act of interloping and could warrant legal repercussions.

Galadima further emphasized his lack of awareness regarding any formal suspension of Kwankwaso, indicating that such knowledge would have prompted legal action, particularly in light of a previous court ruling barring certain individuals from parading themselves as members or officers of the NNPP. He reiterated the gravity of adhering to judicial directives and upholding the sanctity of democratic processes within the party's framework.

In his words: "Besides, I am not aware that Kwankwaso has been suspended because if I am aware, I would have gone back to the court, which said that they should never parade themselves even as members of NNPP let alone being officers of the party."
