According to a video clip shared by African Independent Television (AIT) on their official X feed (previously Twitter), a group representing Bayelsa State met with Sim Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, to discuss the ongoing political unrest in the state.
On behalf of the former Bayelsa governor, Henry Seriake Dickson, the delegation conveyed a message of tolerance, unity, respect, forgiveness, peace, and reconciliation from your excellency. “I don’t think the other party has shown any restraint; I am the one that has shown restraint in the face of things,” Governor Fubara remarked, addressing the present political difficulties in the state. Even if the government has all the tools it needs to make a catastrophe, I am the one who becomes very hot. He went on to say, "I can't worship a human being, even though we do value the role our leaders play."
