According to iNews, Manchester United are in advanced talks to sign two of their main transfer targets, Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee. The Red Devils are negotiating with Bayern Munich and Bologna respectively, aiming to secure both deals for a combined £68m.

De Ligt, a talented centre-back, has already given the green light for the transfer due to his close relationship with manager Erik ten Hag from their time at Ajax. United are discussing a cut-price deal worth £34 million, taking advantage of his unsettled situation at Bayern Munich.

Zirkzee, a 23-year-old striker, is also set to join United for £34 million, with the club willing to pay his release clause and agent commission. He will compete with Rasmus Hojlund for a starting berth.

The arrival of Dan Ashworth as sporting director is expected to expedite the deals, with the hope of completing both transfers within the next week. De Ligt's strong ball-playing skills and aerial presence make him a good fit for United, while Zirkzee's arrival will add depth to the attack.
