In response to remarks made by Alex Obiogbolu, a Special Adviser to the current Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, suggesting that Soludo's initial two years in office were more impactful than Peter Obi's entire eight-year tenure, former Governor Peter Obi has offered a rebuttal.

During an interview on Arise TV, Obi tackled these assertions by encouraging a review of his campaign pledges concerning education, health, poverty alleviation, and rural development. He asserted that his administration was lauded for its achievements in education and health and for significantly reducing poverty. Additionally, he highlighted his groundbreaking effort in establishing state savings for the future, an unprecedented feat in Nigeria.

Obi stated, "Let people examine my campaign promises to the people of Anambra state: education, health, poverty reduction, and ensuring access to rural areas. These were the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) metrics, and I excelled in education and health, as well as poverty alleviation. Ask those who managed the poverty alleviation office."

Comparing his governance with Soludo's, Obi pointed out Soludo's pledge to transform Anambra into Dubai and Taiwan. He stressed that he had fulfilled his promises during his tenure and suggested that Soludo would achieve his goal only when Anambra attains the level of development promised.

"What I promised, I delivered. My elder brother Soludo promised Dubai, Taiwan. One must fulfill one's promises. When Anambra becomes Dubai, Taiwan, then he has fulfilled his promise. What I promised, I delivered," he concluded.
