Sowunmi Segun, a former governorship aspirant of the PDP, has commented on the challenges the party has faced due to the actions of former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.
In an interview shared on YouTube by AIT, Segun said for quite some time now, the PDP has been battling with what he referred to as the "Wike problem". He said the party struggled with the Wike problem during various stages, including the presidential primary election, selection of a vice presidential candidate, and throughout the campaign period. He said the party still struggles with the Wike problem despite having another PDP governor in Rivers State
Segun expressed frustration with the actions of Wike and he jokingly suggested that the PDP should surrender to Wike due to the persistent challenges his actions pose to the party's cohesion and stability
In Segun's words: "We have PDP Governor in Rivers, we are struggling with Wike problem; maybe we should surrender to him".
