As the political atmosphere in Kenya heats up, political leaders are starting to make plans ahead of the general elections scheduled for 2027. Important political players in the Mount Kenya region have been involved in a power dispute.Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has been working to unite the heavily voting region ahead of the 2027 elections, but other officials of the ruling Party have opposed his efforts.
Rigathi Gachagua, the deputy president, has recently revealed that the things he usually says are the things that his supporters have been begging him to speak on their behalf. In Ruai, Kasarani Constituency, the second-in-command revealed that he had no voice during his speech.
The opinion voiced by DP Gachagua is in line with the increasing public pressure from Kenyans on public officials, especially National Assembly Members, to oppose Finance Bill 2024.
