Transformer Vandal Electrocuted in Enugu

A suspected vandal was found dead inside an electrical transformer enclosure belonging to the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company in Coal Camp, Enugu. He was believed to have been electrocuted while attempting to cut armoured cables. EEDC's Head of Corporate Communications, Emeka Ezeh, confirmed the incident and highlighted the frequent vandalism of electricity installations. Ezeh called for community support to protect these facilities.

Amusan cleared for Olympics, doping charges dismissed by CAS

Nigerian 100m hurdles world record holder Tobi Amusan has been cleared to compete in the Paris Olympics. The Court of Arbitration for Sport dismissed appeals by World Athletics and the World Anti-Doping Agency, confirming that Amusan committed two filing failures but did not miss a third test, as alleged. This decision overturns the earlier doping charge that could have led to a two-year ban. Amusan set the world record of 12.12 seconds in July 2022 and won the world championship title.
