Drop Petitions Against Aiyedatiwa, Ganduje Tells Aggrieved APC Aspirants

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje, on Thursday, urged aggravated aspirants in the last Saturday’s Ondo State governorship primary to drop their petitions against Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who won the poll.

This was as aggrieved members of the APC, under the aegis of Ondo APC youths, on Thursday, besieged the party national secretariat in Abuja to protest against the outcome of last Saturday’s APC governorship primary in Ondo State that produced Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the winner

Monarch Congratulates Aiyedatiwa

The Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom in the Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, Oba Fredrick Akinruntan, has congratulated the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on his victory in the governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress.

The PUNCH reports that Aiyedatiwa won the shadow election after polling 48,569 votes to defeat 15 contestants in the poll.

Olugbo, in his congratulatory message to the governor, through his Chief Press Secretary, Ademibo Akingboye, on Thursday, described the victory as a destined victory.

In the statement, the monarch noted the continuous collaboration between the Ondo State government and traditional institutions in the state to enhance peace and unity.


Wike’s Loyalists lucky Fubara Is Tolerant – Commissioner

THE Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Joseph Johnson, says the two commissioners who resigned from the cabinet of Governor Siminalayi Fubara were lucky that the governor is a tolerant person.

He described the reasons adduced by the two commissioners for resigning as an afterthought, saying they ought not to have waited until their resignation on Wednesday to voice such opinions.

Akeredolu’s Ex-Deputy, Ajayi, Wins Ondo PDP Ticket

A former deputy governor of Ondo State, Mr Agboola Ajayi, on Thursday, emerged as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state ahead of the November 16 governorship election in the state.

Ajayi, a former deputy governor to the late governor Rotimi Akeredolu, beat six other aspirants to the PDP governorship ticket at the primary held in Akure.
