Human rights advocate and lawyer Prof. Chidi Anselm Odinkalu responded to the statement by Mike Ozekhome (SAN) that he is not supporting the EFCC,Yahaya Bello, or the Kogi State government, whose funds are purportedly at the center of the controversy.
After Yahaha Bello was declared wanted by the EFCC due to charges of money laundering, Ozekhome made the remark.
In a post titled "Yahaya Bello: victim or aggressor?" he declared that he does not support any party engaged in the legal matter.
He stated, "Let me stress here that I am neither on the side of Yahaya Bello nor that of the EFCC or the Government of Kogi State, whose funds are allegedly at the heart of the dispute."
"I will not cry more than the bereaved. My intervention here is limited to the legal ramifications and propriety of the steps taken so far by both sides of the divide."
Chidi Odinkalu, however, has already responded to the Senior Advocate of Nigeria's comments. In a tweet posted on his Twitter account, he claimed that it appears like his former boss has picked up a highly lucrative new customer.
He said, "It looks like my former Oga, Mike Ozekhome, SAN, has acquired a very profitable new client."
