Invasion of Abuja residence: Call EFCC To Order – Yahaya Bello Begs Tinubu

News Source: Daily Post

Former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has asked President Bola Tinubu to call the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to order after operatives of the agency stormed his Abuja residence on Wednesday in a bid to arrest him.

Bello urged Tinubu to caution the agency for disobeying a subsisting court order and disgracing him “at all cost”.

Bello made the appeal after EFCC operatives laid siege at his residence in Abuja, preventing vehicular movement in the area.

Reacting to the development in a statement by his Media Office, the former governor said EFCC’s action was contrary to a subsisting court order granted on February 9, 2024 by the Kogi State High Court, in Suit No. HCL/68M/2024 between Alhaji Yahaya Bello Vs. EFCC.
