Diran Odeyemi, a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday, warned Governor Fubara not to extend his grievances to the party that contributed to his position.

He described the governor's remarks as unfortunate, stressing that he should use alternative method rather than portraying the party to unable to solve its crisis.

Recall that last week, Governor Fubara has regretted that the party has failed the people of the state in the face of the lingering political crisis. Fubara said the state is currently relying on what it can do based on truth instead of party politics.

The governor who spoke while receiving some lawmakers in the red chamber from the Presidential Hotel in the state, said the state would no longer be held back by party affiliation, but would instead stand firm on its own soil to defend democracy.

According to Punch, Odeyemi noted that there were rules and a constitution guiding the party while advising the governor to present his score settle to leadership of the party instead of dismaying it's reputation.

He said, "The governor should not extend his frustrations to a party that gave him the platform to become who he is today. There is a need to exercise caution, even in anger. Don’t destroy a party that made you who you are. Agreed, you have your grievances, but go through the normal channels and do not portray the party as unable to resolve its issues".

However, Osadolor, who is the PDP Deputy National Youth Leader, said there was nothing Fubara wanted from the party that had not been done.

He blamed the governor for showing no concern when the party needed his support at the court. He noted that since the cases are still pending at the court, the state party National Working Committee (NWC) have extended the tenure of the serving executives.

He argued that the governor cannot expect the NWC to attend all issue at a time, emphasizing that the governor need not to be a politician to understand the constitution of the party.
