It has been revealed that the Head of State president William Ruto is expected to announce major changes that will take place in his government.
Among those changes is the reduction of the side of the cabinet with the president expected to scrap off about 7 of the ministries.
According to The Standard newspaper on Friday, this will see the cabinet size reduced from the current 22 cabinet Secretaries to just 15.
Also set to be sent packing are 15 principal Secretaries because the Head of State is expected to reduce the number of departments that they head by 15.
"The Standard has established that about seven ministries will be scrapped. At the same time, 15 principal secretaries will lose their jobs in the shakeup in response to austerity measures announced by President Ruto."
As if that is not enough, it has been established that 43 parastatal chiefs will be shown the door when their entities are scrapped.
Sources say that these changes are expected to be announced over this weekend in what many see as a way of the Head of State trying to give Kenyans are listening ear.
During the countrywide protests, the Gen-Z protesters demanded that the Head of State should reduce the number of cabinet Secretaries or do away with all of them all together.
