"Kimeumana" Four More Suspects Arrested In CDF Offices Arson And Looting Incident In Kikuyu XR
Four more suspects have been arrested in connection to the arson and looting incident at the CDF offices in Kikuyu Constituency, according to police reports. The arrests come after the initial incident where the CDF offices were set ablaze and looted. Several recoveries have been made from the suspects' homes as part of the ongoing investigation.
During the investigation, 28- year- old Samuel Muiri Ruiyi, who works as a driver at a primary school in Nderi, was found to be in possession of a 32- inch television set that had been taken from the CDF offices.
Ruiyi then led the authorities to his accomplice, 23- year- old Samuel Wanjohi, who was found with another 32- inch Sony television belonging to the CDF.
Authorities also arrested a 16- year- old Form 3 student from a Kabete school. The student was identified on CCTV footage leaving the scene with a Bluetooth speaker, which was later recovered.
In a separate incident in Rironi, Limuru, 23- year- old Paul Kuria Njenga was arrested after he was spotted stealing several pieces of equipment from the CDF offices. Njenga had then sold the stolen items to unsuspecting buyers in Kitengela.
All the suspects are expected to be arraigned at the Kiambu Law Courts in the coming days to face charges related to the arson and looting incident.
