Barcelona’s struggles with injuries continues during the international break, according to Barca Network.

The Catalan club, already familiar with the risk of player injuries during such periods, faces a fresh challenge.

Earlier, 21-year-old midfielder Pedri was sidelined after an incident during Spain's match against Germany.

Pedri sustained the injury in a collision with Toni Kroos, who later apologized for the incident. Despite this, Pedri is no longer the latest casualty among Barcelona’s ranks.

Ronald Araujo, a key Barcelona defender valued at €70 million, was the next to fall victim.

The incident occurred during a Copa America quarterfinal match between Uruguay and Brazil.

During the 32nd minute, Araujo attempted to block a cross from Brazilian player Guilherme Arana. He immediately felt pain in his hamstring and thigh, collapsing to the ground and requiring medical attention.

Despite hopes from fans and teammates that he might continue, it became evident that Araujo's injury was severe. Uruguay’s coach, Marcelo Bielsa, had no choice but to substitute him out of the game.

As of now, the exact severity of Araujo's injury remains unknown. Initial assessments suggest it is a hamstring issue, adding to the growing list of muscle injuries Araujo has suffered since joining Barcelona in 2019.
