Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, delivered a powerful message during the July 2024 Blessing Service at The Glory Dome in Abuja.

In his sermon titled "The Blessedness of Prayer," Enenche emphasized the profound impact of names on an individual's destiny and urged his congregation to reject any name that does not positively describe their future.

"Identity is prophecy for destiny," Enenche declared. He explained that the names we are called can prophesy our future, as they influence our reality and shape our identity.

"When you're calling a person's name, you're confessing something. What you say determines what you see," he stated, highlighting the importance of mindful speech and confession.

Enenche shared examples of negative names he has encountered, illustrating how detrimental such labels can be. "We have in our society today, from the place I come from and even around the world, names that are so terrible," he said. Recalling a young man named "Born-to-die" who tragically did not survive, he stressed the importance of rejecting names that prophesy negativity. "Please, if the name does not describe your future, reject it. No name is a fixed deposit."

He further elaborated on the significance of positive names, citing the Apostle Paul as an example of a name that connotes impact and greatness. Enenche also shared a personal anecdote about his native name, Idoko, which means "he's on the field, on the farm," emphasizing the positive connotation and its alignment with his identity.

Addressing the congregation, Enenche recounted a conversation with a medical doctor and his wife, who marveled at how youthful he and his wife appeared despite their responsibilities. He humorously attributed this to having "almost 30 years experience of being on the same age," underscoring the power of a positive outlook.
