In a recent tweet from his verified Twitter account, former Nigerian Senator Shehu Sani expressed criticism towards the state government of Zamfara, highlighting what he perceives as misplaced priorities amidst the state's ongoing crisis.

Addressing the hypothetical scenario of Zamfara being allocated the portfolio of Minister of State for Culture, Sani emphasized the irony that the people of Zamfara would likely accuse the president of insensitivity to their plight. With the state grappling with rampant banditry, bloodshed, and abductions, Sani stressed the importance of prioritizing efforts to address these urgent security challenges.

In his words, he said: "If Zamfara was given the portfolio of Minister of State for Culture, the People of Zamfara would have accused the President they elected of being insensitive to their plight. A state ravaged by Banditry, Bloodshed and abductions should unite and tackle their problems. Pulling down their Defence State Minister Mutawalle shouldn’t be a priority for now."

Sani called for unity among the people of Zamfara, urging them to come together to tackle the pervasive issues plaguing their state. Rather than engaging in divisive actions such as pulling down their Defense State Minister, Bello Matawalle, Sani argued that the focus should be on collaborative efforts to address the root causes of insecurity and restore peace to the region.
