Mason Greenwood, the Manchester United forward, has been training with his former teammate Shola Shoretire in Manchester as he prepares for his next move, according to Metro. The 22-year-old is expected to leave United before the end of the summer transfer window, with several clubs showing interest in his services.

Greenwood spent last season on loan at Getafe, where he impressed with 8 goals and 6 assists in La Liga. His performances earned him the Spanish club's Player of the Season award, and Getafe president Angel Torres has expressed his desire to keep Greenwood for another year. However, United are looking to sell the forward, with Lazio and Marseille already showing interest.

The Italian club has submitted a bid worth €20 million plus a 50% sell-on clause, but United are holding out for a higher fee, believed to be around £40m. Marseille are also in talks with United, with reports suggesting a potential agreement is close.

Greenwood's future at United has been uncertain since his arrest in January 2022 on charges of attempted rape, controlling behavior, and assault. Although all charges were dropped in February 2023, United faced backlash over his potential return to the team, leading to their decision to sell him.

As Greenwood prepares for his next move, his training session with Shoretire, whose contract with United expired last month, suggests he is keeping his fitness levels up ahead of a potential transfer. With United's players due to report back for pre-season training on Monday, Greenwood is expected to be granted more time off as the club works on his transfer.
