Jonathan Lokpobiri, the president of the Ijaw Youth Council, has given his take on the East-West Road, whose construction is yet to be completed.
During an interview with Arise News, Lokpobiri stated that the question of whether the East-West road remains uncompleted after eighteen years after its first award is a puzzle that Nigeria needs to solve.
He cited the economic importance of the roadway as a reason why its construction must be completed as a matter of urgency.
However, he also questioned the reason why the road had been neglected by the previous administration despite its short distance of 188 kilometres.
According to the video, "the question as to why this road has remained uncompleted for eighteen years after it's first award is a puzzle that Nigerians need to solve.".
