Janet Gimba, a judge of the Kaduna Customary Court, was freed after her captors tortured her for eleven terrifying days.

But the vicious bandits still have three of her children.

The judge and her four children were reportedly removed from their Mahuta property on June 23, as reported by Arise News on Friday.

The bandits brutally murdered her 14-year-old son on Tuesday when the family couldn't pay the ransom they had demanded—N298 million—by the deadline.

After lowering the ransom to N150 million, the gunmen freed Janet Gimba on Wednesday night and told her to collect money to free her other children.

The judge's husband, the doctor Dr. Musa Gimba, was reportedly away at the hospital on duty when the bandits attacked.

After their son's body was located, the family took it to the hospital.

Janet Gimba recently thanked the authorities for releasing her, but she begged for her children's safe return in a telephone chat.

She told the bandits her terrifying story and pleaded with them to let her children go free.

According to her, "Initially they demanded for N298 million, but they have reduced it to N150 million, and they released me to go and bring the money before my children are released."

The public's reaction to the occurrence has been mixed, with many urging the government to apprehend the perpetrators and save the woman's children.
