The immediate past Chairman of the Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, Dr. Chidi Lloyd, has, during an interview on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television Programme, insisted that he is still the Chairman of his Local Government; as he noted that the Judiciary has purportedly vindicated him and his colleagues.
Dr. Lloyd had said, "Thank you for having me and good morning Nigerians. I'd like to start by making a few corrections to your intro; I am no longer a lecturer at the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus, I've said so severally; and I am the Chairman of Emohua Local Government and a former Member of the Rivers State House of Assembly. I'd like to first and foremost express my – align myself with the sentiments that have been expressed by the Rt. Honourable Martins Chike Amaewhule, the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly as to our continued faith in the Judiciary; Judiciary has always been said to be the last hope of the common man. These days, most people have joked that it is no longer just the common man that has the last hope in the Judiciary, even the rich run to the Judiciary when they are at disputes."
