In a recent video on YouTube, Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God addressed a common misconception circulating on the internet: that once someone is born again, they are free to do whatever they like. Pastor Adeboye firmly refuted this idea, emphasizing the transformative power of true Christian conversion.
He pointed out that such beliefs misinterpret the essence of being a new creation in Christ. Quoting 2 Corinthians 5:17, Pastor Adeboye stated, "But the Bible says if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." He explained that genuine acceptance of Christ brings a profound change in one's life, rendering the old ways obsolete.
He further emphasized that the freedom in Christ is not a license to sin or live recklessly, but rather an invitation to live a life that reflects Christ’s teachings and values.
According to him, "I saw this on the internet when someone was saying once you are born again you are free to do whatever you like. But the Bible says if any man being in Christ he is a new creature old things are passed away and behold all things are become new."
