According to reports from Vanguard, the member representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Donald Ojogo, and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the council area have vowed to deliver overwhelming support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the November 16 gubernatorial election.

Speaking at a meeting of APC leaders and members in Akure, the state capital, Ojogo stated that they would mobilize massively to ensure the ruling party retains control of the state.

He emphasized that this election is not just about Governor Aiyedatiwa, but also a crucial test for the APC at the national level ahead of the 2027 general elections.

"This is Mr. President's geopolitical zone, and it is going to be the first election that will take place, so it is a litmus test. If we fail, it will appear that APC national has also failed, and we cannot afford to fail APC national. We will not fail, Mr. President," Ojogo declared.

The lawmaker, who had previously supported a different candidate during the party primaries, urged all members to rally behind the governor, stating, "The candidate of the party is my candidate, their candidate, and our candidate, so we can't do otherwise."

Akin Sowore, the Commissioner for Lands in the state, assured that the Ese-Odo Local Government Area would lead the charge with the most votes for Governor Aiyedatiwa.

The House of Assembly member representing the council area, Hon. Allen Oluwatoyin, echoed the sentiment, stating that the council area had collectively decided to support the re-election of Governor Aiyedatiwa, and the votes they would deliver would be massive.

The deputy party chairman, Ajabra Atili, and the party's woman leader in the council, Elizabeth Douye, also expressed confidence in the governor's re-election, pledging to deliver 80 percent of the votes for him in the November 16 election.
