A political commentator by the name of Daniel Bwala has shed light on the changing dynamics of power distribution in the political landscape of Nigeria.

During an interview that took place on TVC News, Bwala highlighted the growing consensus that there is a movement of power from the North to the South following the expiration of the eight-year reign of the North.

To be more specific, he voiced his conviction that by the time President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's first term comes to a conclusion, a significant section of the populace in the northern region would rather have him serve a second term from the beginning.

Bwala argues that allowing Tinubu to serve two terms would be more beneficial to the interests of both the North and the South in the long run. This is in contrast to the notion that Tinubu should only be allowed to serve a term that is four years long.

According to Bwala, this strategy would make it possible for the North to have a full eight-year term when power is eventually restored to the region. As a result, potential conflicts and power struggles would be avoided.

Bwala said, "There's a unanimous agreement that power should go to the south and that the north has had 8 years.

"Now, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has won, and he's in his first term.

"By the time he's (Tinubu) concluding, even the greater part of the northern people will prefer that he finish the second term so that if power goes to the north, they believe it should be able to stay for 8 years.

"It will not be sensible after 4 years for them to do everything possible to move it back."
