According to Metro, Mikel Arteta praised Kai Havertz for his outstanding performance in the north London derby against Tottenham, despite the player being ill before the match.

Havertz played a key role in Arsenal's 3-2 victory over Tottenham, contributing with an assist for Bukayo Saka's goal and finding the back of the net himself.

Acknowledging Havertz's illness before the game, Arteta emphasized his admiration for the player's resilience and exceptional performance on the pitch.

"He was sensational in every department today," Arteta commented on Havertz's performance.

"He was ill before the match.

He was really struggling and still he put the performance that he put in. I thought he was unbelievable today."

Reflecting on the emotional intensity of the match and Arsenal's chances of winning the title, Arteta highlighted the team's determination and resilience throughout a demanding month.

"Emotionally, it’s been a very demanding month. Yesterday I had to stop them in training because they wanted more," Arteta revealed.

Despite Arsenal's strong position in the title race, Arteta remained cautious, emphasizing the need to stay focused and not to become complacent.

"I think [Arsenal are better equipped to win the title this time around].

When you win it’s always the case," Arteta said.

"The margins are so small.

Don’t get carried away with yourself."
