The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Remi Tinubu, recently had an interview with TVC News where she discussed various topics.

Remi Tinubu emphasized the importance of food production in Nigeria, encouraging everyone to grow something. She mentioned her initiative to add value to the State House by creating a private vegetable garden, highlighting its health benefits. She pointed out that okra is beneficial for the digestive tract and cholesterol, while ewedu is medicinal and helpful for children with measles.

She also mentioned other plants in her garden, such as water leaf, which is beneficial for ulcer patients, and green vegetables, lemon grass, and bitter leaf, all known for their health benefits. She stated that this garden is her contribution to the food drive, and she believes that everyone can participate. Remi Tinubu encouraged Nigerians to start growing something, even if they don't have land, suggesting smart farming techniques like using buckets.

Remi Tinubu expressed her hope that her initiative would inspire others, especially young people, to take up gardening. She appealed to Nigerians to embrace growing their own food, emphasizing that it is a free gift from God.

In her own words, she remarked, "I'm trying to be because we need food in Nigeria. I'm trying to be and everybody should try to grow something, so I didn't know what I can add to the State house and I thought a private vegetable garden would be nice and that has very good health benefits. Okra is very very good, it's good for the digestive tract and also helps cholesterol I guess so. The next one is ewedu, ewedu is very medicinal, I remember children that have measles, when they take ewedu, it helps them a lot".

This is my own contribution to the food drive and I believe that everybody can do it. My young friends are here to help as unveil this so they can also be challenged and I'm appealing to Nigerians, you don't want me to win the 25 million, so get to work and you know, grow something in your house".
