Manchester United could end their pursuit of Everton defender Jerrad Branthwaite to sign Dey Ligt from Bayern Munich. De Ligt played under Manchester United coach Erik ten Haag at Ajax.

Jerrad Branthwaite remains United's priority this summer, but there has been little movement since the Red Devils saw an opening bid worth £43 million with add-ons rejected by Everton.
According to the report, talks have been ongoing between the two clubs to get the deal done as soon as possible.
