MNC Vs ARS: Two Players Arteta Should Consider Benching For Arsenal's Crucial Clash Against Man City

Arsenal head into their biggest game of the season so far as they face Manchester City in a Premier League title fight. While Mikel Arteta has a strong squad at his disposal, there are a couple of selection dilemmas he needs to address to maximize his chances of success. Here are two players who could potentially be dropped for this crucial contest:

1. Gabriel Jesus

Jesus' absence due to injury earlier this season exposed a worrying trend in Arsenal's attack. While the Brazilian is a world-class talent, his recent form hasn't been at the level required for such a high-pressure match. Since his return, Arsenal's attacking fluidity seems to have dipped. With Kai Havertz excelling in Jesus' absence and forming a strong partnership with Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe, Arteta might consider keeping Jesus on the bench and starting a more in-form attacking trio.

2. Jacob Kiwior

Kiwior has been a solid addition to Arsenal's defense, but against a team like Manchester City, his lack of experience in such big matches could be a concern. Manchester City are known for their quick, intricate passing and ability to exploit space in behind the defense. Kiwior's positioning and decision-making might be tested against the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden. A more experienced left-back like Oleksandr Zinchenko could provide a steadier presence at the back.

Havertz, as mentioned earlier, has been in great form and offers a different attacking dimension to Jesus. He can drop deeper, link up play, and create chances for the likes of Saka and either of Martinelli or Leandro Trossard. In defense, Zinchenko has more experience playing in big matches. His composure and pace could be crucial against his former team's attack.
