Rivers State chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tony Okocha, has spoken on his reasons for calling for Governor Siminalayi Fubara's impeachment.

During a conversation with The Sun, when questioned, Okocha said that the governor should be impeached, claiming that his lack of vision was the initial reason behind his demand. He claimed to call him a governor who pushes and starts.

He asserted that Fubara was ill-prepared and incapable of dispensing democratic benefits. He inquired as to whether Fubara and the newly appointed governor of Abia State could be compared.

He questioned if Governor Fubara, with all of his wealth, despite the fact that he claimed to have boosted internal income, could be compared to the governor of Abia State, who is also a first-time governor without any financial resources.

Quoting him, "I called for his impeachment because he is visionless. I refer to him as a push-and-start governor. He was ill-prepared, and he was not able to dish out the dividends of democracy."

"Can you compare him with the governor of Abia State, who is also a first-timer?"

"With all the money he has, even the one he said he increased the internally generated revenue, can you compare him with Abia State Governor, also a first-timer like him without funds?"

"Rivers State can comfortably be dashing Abia State N10 billion every month. In his confession, he said he has only been in government for four months; did he go on leave?"

"So what happened to the other eight months? He is telling you, ‘Look, I am incompetent."
