They don’t believe in renewed hope of Tinubu because they believe their hope have been dashed – Sunny Onuesoke

The Daily Post reports that Chief Sunny Onuesoke, a prominent member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, has forecasted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will collapse before 2027 as a result of the extensive hardship experienced by Nigerians.

These claims were made by Onuesoke, a former PDP governorship candidate, during an interview in Warri, to highlight the terrible economic situation that people are facing. Even among APC supporters, Onuesoke brought attention to the fact that everyday life in Nigeria is difficult when it comes to paying for food, housing, and transportation.

He used the current food prices as an example, saying that a basket of beans costs 8,300 naira, a basket of rice 12,000 naira, and a basket of garri 4,000 naira. He said that low-income people and government employees are among those who are unable to afford even basic necessities because of the current regime. Many people, including some APC supporters, he said, are just pretending to be happy while they quietly endure terrible things.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's "renewed hope" agenda, which Onuesoke says has not delivered the promised alleviation and improvements, is supposedly being pushed by these individuals, who are allegedly waiting for a chance to vote him out of office. His main point was that people no longer trust and support the government since their daily lives are so different from their promises. In his final remarks, Onuesoke emphasised that the APC could fall due to widespread hunger and economic despair.

As a result of their dreams being smashed by unmet expectations and ongoing hardship, he said, many Nigerians have lost faith in the promises made by the current leadership. They feel their hopes have been crushed, therefore they no longer believe in Mr. President's renewed hope, he said.
