The Former Senator who represented the good people of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone, Senator Shehu Sani, has reacted after International Air Transport Association, IATA, praised the Nigerian government for clearing the backlog of foreign airline trapped funds of over $831 million.

While reacting, Senator Shehu Sani made it known that the Nigerian government paid the sum of $831 million to foreign airlines, noting that when Nigerians are trapped in war torn countries, the federal government will be looking up to Allen Onyema's Air Peace to go and rescue them.

Senator Shehu Sani made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle on Thursday afternoon, while reacting to the report. He thereby urged the federal government not to call Allen Onyema's Air Peace again.

He wrote: "Nigeria paid $831 million to foreign Airlines. And when Nigerians are trapped in war torn countries, you will be looking up to Onyema’s Air peace to go and rescue them. Make I see any of una call Bro Allen again."

Recall that it was reported that the International Air Transport Association, IATA, recently praised the Federal Government of Nigeria, over its swift action in clearing the backlog of foreign airlines’ trapped funds, amounting to over $831 million.
