Shehu Sani, the former senator representing the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has taken to his official X handle to tackle the National Assembly over the plans to establish hospital for senators, reps, others.

The National Assembly, led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, has unveiled plans to build a state-of-the-art medical center. This facility will cater to senators, House members, their guests, and legislative staff.

During the senators' return from recess in Abuja on Thursday, Senate President Akpabio declared that the construction of this medical facility will be a key focus for the upcoming legislative year.

Former Senator and vocal activist Shehu Sani has taken to X to express his strong disapproval of the proposed hospital for lawmakers.

The outspoken activist has fiercely condemned the proposed hospital, labeling it a blatant waste of public money.

Sani highlighted the irony of the proposal, pointing out that the National Assembly already has an in-house clinic capable of providing these services, which lawmakers rarely use.
