Manchester United are reportedly considering a roster revamp this summer, as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his new football operations staff outline their aims to restore success to England's greatest club.

According to David McDonnell of The Mirror, 12 players may be on their way out this summer, which will gratify many supporters who are tired of witnessing failing players every week.

The club will operate within the constraints set by financial fair play standards, but we now have co-owners who wish to invest in the squad and bring success on the field. It will take time, but an overhaul may be necessary.

It is advised that new technical director Jason Wilcox and the incoming sporting director (Dan Ashworth, once Newcastle releases him from gardening leave), examine every position within the team.

Several players are expected to leave the defense, which has been plagued by injuries all season. Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof, and Harry Maguire are among the players on the radar.

The midfield appears to be on the verge of revolution. We all know Casemiro and Christian Eriksen's days are short, despite their excellent impact on the squad last season, when United won the Carabao Cup and finished third in the Premier League. Their legs are gone.

Scott McTominay was linked with a move away from United last summer, but he has proven his worth to the squad this season, particularly when Ten Hag needed him the most. It remains to be seen whether the club will try to cash in on the Scottish international.

Furthermore, Sofyan Amrabat should avoid staying at Old Trafford because the Moroccan has been far from satisfactory.

Antony's future is questionable, since he has failed to perform regularly since his mega-money move from Ajax, therefore United may contemplate cutting ties with the Brazilian. Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho are also listed as potential departures.

Rashford's lackluster performances this season have aroused widespread debate. The forward scored 30 goals last season, but many believe a huge decision needs to be made about his future. We should not forget that he agreed to better terms with the club last year!

Another player who is certain that he is leaving United is Jonny Evans. The academy graduate is expected to leave after the expiration of the 12 months contract he signed with the club last Summer. Evans have been a faithful servant since his return to the club where his career all started. He has played vital roles both in the field and off the field. Reports from certain quarters suggest that he is likely to retire from football after the expiration of his current contract.
