The anti government and finance bill 2024 protests sparked a heated debate on how leaders are handling the issues affecting the people of Kenya. President William Ruto's action of withdrawing the Finance Bill 2024 when it was too late also showed how leaders don't care about their people. Chest thumping had taken over the parliament until when Kenyans decided to take action against the Finance Bill 2024.
Taking into account of her Facebook page, the Machakos county Governor, Hon Wavinya Ndeti, urged all Kenyan leaders to mature up and serve the people of Kenya. The vocal women leader said that all leaders should stop the blame games and deal with the issues that the young people are raising.
She told the leaders that this is the time to show maturity and take accountability and show Kenyans that they care about them. The Governor added that all leaders should get out their feelings and start serving the people of Kenya as expected of them. Her remarks came shortly after the trade cabinet secretary, Moses Kuria, openly attacked the deputy president, Rigathi Gachagua, dragging him on the ongoing Gen Z protests. Do this leaders really care about the welfare of the people who elected them?
