" I Don't Care About Popularity, I Will Make Hard Long - Term Decisions" President Tells Kenyans

President William Ruto has told Kenyans that some of the difficult but critical decisions he would make in his capacity as president may not be popular. According to the president, Kenya could have already been put up for auction if he had chosen the path of popularity and satisfaction for Kenyans.

The president has spoken about some of the difficult decisions he has made during his tenure, such as reducing fuel and consumption subsidies. The president has made it obvious that he informed the public that such an approach was unsustainable, but they preferred quick fixes that would not persist.

The president has stated unequivocally that the price of general food products and unga has decreased as a result of his aggressive policies. President Ruto is aware that the price of those commodities, including Unga, would be Ksh 500 today if he had adopted Azimio's recommendation to continue providing subsidies to keep people happy.

According to President Ruto, countless Kenyans petitioned him to postpone Eurobond payments, stating that Kenya had no need to do so. The president is sure that individuals who opposed paying Eurobonds, including Babu Owino, lack economic knowledge. The president has stated definitely that the payment of Eurobonds has increased investors' trust in Kenya's focus and stabilised the Kenyan shilling against the dollar.

President Ruto has informed the public that his administration's policies promote economic success without dehumanising others. As usual, given Kenya's current political climate and dire economic condition, we must wait and watch what happens in the future.
