The senator representing Abia South and Senate Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe, have given their take on the rising level of insecurity in the eastern part of Nigeria.
Security agencies have been implored to employ all necessary means to combat country insecurity in the South-East as reports of various attacks are received on a regular basis.
However, in a video posted by TVC News, the Nigerian politician Abaribe linked the insecurities in the south-east with the prolonged detention of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB.
He emphasised that some individuals see the detention of the political activist Nnamdi Kanu as an opportunity to perpetrate evil in the Eastern region, while others are killing security officers all in the name of Kanu's release.
According to the video, "Some people are roaming around, killing even security men in the name of Nnamdi Kanu's release.".
