Ex-Imo Governor Okorocha's House Collapses In Abuja

A five-storey building owned by the former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has collapsed along Ahmadu Bello Way in Abuja.

The building, according to the report, collapsed around 9:pm yesterday sending panic to the entire neighbourhood.

In a swift reaction, personnel of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command immediately cordoned off the entire area.

DJ Cuppy Endorses LP

British-Nigerian disk jokey, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has endorsed the Labour Party ahead of Thursday’s general election in the United Kingdom.

The music star explained that she endorsed the opposition against the ruling Conservative Party because “sometimes a change is necessary.”

She urged her UK fans to vote for the Labour Party on Thursday, stressing that votes “actually matter” in the UK.


Gunmen Release Three Indian Nationals Abducted In Ogun State

Three Indian nationals who were abducted by gunmen on the Sagamu-Ijebu Ode Expressway in Ogun State last weekend have been freed. 

This was confirmed by the Nigerian Police Force in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola.

It was learnt that about 20 persons, including the three Indians were abducted by the gunmen at the Delabo junction axis of the expressway.


NUC Approves 21 New Academic Courses In ATBU

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved the accreditation of 21 new academic courses at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) in Bauchi.

Similarly, all courses offered at the Seven Colleges of Education and Polytechnics affiliated with ATBU have been approved.

Furthermore, the NUC has fully accredited all nine courses offered under the World Bank-supported Sustainable Procurement, Environmental and Social Standard Enhancement Projects – Center of Excellence (SPESSE-CE) at the university.
