The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has warned ministers of the gospel to be wary of sexual immorality in the erroneous belief that their ‘anointing’ could help them withstand any temptation.

He said despite his age, he runs faster than before to avoid ant form of sexual temptation, noting that no amount of anointing can fight sexual temptation.

Adeboye said this in one of his sermons at the just concluded Ministers & Workers Conference of RCCG Americas 1 which consists of North, Central & Caribbean with the theme: “The Glory Ahead”.

Adeboye, who has been a preacher for over 45 years, in the course of the sermon shared on his YouTube page noted that Samson, who was a judge in Israel, fell into sexual immorality despite the anointing over him.

Police kill nine ‘kidnappers who target wealthy individuals’ in Lagos

The police command in Lagos, says it has killed nine suspected kidnappers, who “target high net-worth residents” in the state.

Addressing a press conference in Ikeja on Friday, Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson of the command, said the police killed the suspects during a gun duel.

Hundeyin, said the command received intelligence about the kidnappers’ plans about two weeks ago.

“Our intelligence gathering assets yielded very credible and actionable intelligence about a dangerous and very notorious gang of kidnappers planning to kidnap some high net-worth individuals in Lagos,” he said.

Bauchi unveils 17 new road projects, streets naming, house numbering

Bauchi State Government, has approved the construction and rehabilitation of Seventeen new rural and urban roads, across the state in an effort to enhance the quality of lives of the citizens.

Similarly, it has directed that henceforth, all lands allocations within and outside the state capital, shall be approved by the State Executive Governor inline with Bauchi State Land Use Act 2022 as amended.

These, were part of the resolutions made during the State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Bala Mohammed.

Briefing Journalists after the meeting, the Commissioner of Works and Transport, Ibrahim Gambo Galadima, said that the roads construction project mostly in the state capital, are in addition to the ongoing ones under Governor Bala Mohammed’s rural and urban renewal initiative.

Nigerian Afrobeat megastar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has addressed the ongoing child custody dispute with Sophia Momodu, mother of his first daughter, saying, all he asked for is joint parenting.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the matter is currently a subject of litigation before the court.

Davido, also expressed displeasure over Sophia’s usual reference to the death of his son, who died in 2022.

Davido, in an Instagram story wrote: “Your constantly bringing up the death of my child at any point you can to just remind us of this tragedy that haunts us everyday of our lives.
