In an interview with Channels Television on Thursday, Professor Zacchaeus Adangor, former Attorney-General of Rivers State, categorically denied any attempts to sabotage the government of Governor Siminalayi Fubara. He highlighted his role in spearheading negotiations for the state's housing and loan schemes, which he emphasized he would not have done if he intended to sabotage the government.

Zacchaeus Adangor accused Governor Fubara of reneging on his signed peace agreement by secretly sponsoring individuals and organizations to file lawsuits against the state government and Attorney-General, challenging the agreement's validity. He revealed that Governor Fubara had instructed him to refer any suits served on the Attorney-General's Chambers to his office, a directive Adangor claimed had never happened before.

In an interview with Channels Television, he said: "Let me just say this emphatically that the statement made by the Governor of Rivers State is injuriously misleading and lacking any truth whatsoever. For the brief period I served as Attorney-General I provided quality advice to virtually every issue referred to me that enhanced the administration of Rivers State. In point of fact there are two flagship programs that I embarked upon, The first is the housing scheme I led the team that negotiated the entire terms of the public-private partnership. Second is the loan scheme, I led the Rivers State delegation that negotiated the terms of that loan scheme. If I wanted to sabotage his Government I wouldn't have been part of those negotiations".
