The National Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS) presented Godswill Obot Akpabio with an honorary award for parliamentary excellence on Saturday, according to his verified Facebook page. This gathering was held in Abuja at the State House Conference Centre. Some Principal Officers and members of the National Assembly accompanied me to the prize presenting ceremony.

He further stated; "I dedicate this award to my colleagues in the National Assembly, specifically, my Distinguished colleagues in the Senate, who provided a peaceful and united working ambience for me to excel in office, in the last one year." General Abdulsalami Abubakar (Peace Building award), Hon. Tajudeen Abbas (Parliamentary Excellence award), Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila (Leadership and Administration award), and Senator Ibrahim Hadejia (Administrator par Excellence award) are among the other recipients of the Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service.
