According to Metro, Kai Havertz showered praise on his Arsenal teammate Bukayo Saka following their stellar performances in Saturday’s 3-0 Premier League triumph over Bournemouth.

The Gunners surged clear at the top of the table ahead of Manchester City’s upcoming fixture against Wolves after securing yet another convincing victory.

Saka kick-started the scoring just before halftime, converting a contentious penalty won by Havertz after Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers fouled him.

Although Arsenal faced some tense moments in the second half as the visitors threatened to equalize, Leandro Trossard secured the points with a goal 20 minutes from time, with Declan Rice adding another in injury time.

Saka's goal marked his 20th in all competitions this season, making him the first Englishman to achieve such a feat for Arsenal since Theo Walcott in 2012/13.

Havertz, who has developed a fruitful partnership with the Hale End Academy graduate, commended Saka’s talents, stating, ‘He’s unbelievable and shows it every week.

I think he’s 21 or 22 and I’ve never seen a player like this. England are very lucky.

He’s hungry every day, and if you see him in training, he’s special.’

Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed his delight with Saka's consistency and competitive spirit, noting, ‘The level of consistency compared to last year is very similar.

Probably there are areas in the game where he’s become more effective.

I see a different edge from him, the way he competes.

Not the way he plays, but the way he competes, and he loves winning more than three months ago, six months ago, a year ago, and now that is something that hopefully is in his system.’

With only three fixtures remaining, Arsenal must rely on City slipping up to have a chance at clinching the title from Pep Guardiola’s side.

‘Very excited,’ Arteta remarked about the upcoming matches.

‘We have done it for nine and a half months now so it’s two weeks to go.

We really want to get it done.

We are closer to where we were yesterday, and hopefully, we can bring that title here.’
