It was reported a few months ago that Arsenal revealed on Monday that goalkeeper Brian Okonkwo has joined Isthmian Premier League club Cheshunt FC on a work experience loan until the end of the season.
The Premier League North London team announced this in a statement on their website. Okonkwo joined Arsenal's academy in April 2018. The 18-year-old has previously completed work experience loans with Hitchin Town and Leatherhead.
Arsenal has secured contracts for seven academy players.
The players are Brian Okonkwo, Maldini Kacurri, Josh Nichols, Ismeal Kabia, Harrison Dudziak, Sebastian Ferdinand, and Osman Kamara.
The Gunners announced this in a lengthy statement on their website on Thursday. "Seven of our academy players have signed new professional contracts with the club," Arsenal's statement said.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are anticipated to add to manager Mikel Arteta's team this summer transfer window. The Premier League North London club finished second to Manchester City last season.
